Before i begin answering that question let me give you a small recap of who i am and why i am writing this blog. I began writing code back in 2019 on my 2gb Dell latitude PC after being inspired by websites that i used in my childhood to "pirate" movies and music for free sites like “WAPTRICK  and the like of that have shaped me to become the software dev of today”

Fast forward to 2022 when i was tired of WEB2 and wanted to move to WEB3 not to build MEME coins and steal from the uneducated Tanzanian masses but i wanted to shift from building software that only i can destroy to building software that not even me can destroy and by that i mean software that will really live for more that 30years or even 100 years.

So the first step was to google “WHICH BLOCKCHAIN IS THE BEST TO BUILD FOR THE TANZANIAN ECO SYSTEM”  and the answers where hurt breaking and by that i mean google did not give me what i was looking for as a young builder in this hash eco system of little to no support the only support you can get is from the best tool builders and the technology it self which communities is the the main factor in building on a technology or choosing which technology to invest your time in.

As a Laravel Dev i can say much of my knowledge is not found from university or a fancy book that i bought but from good developers that i follow on twitter and subscribed on youtube devs like THEPRIME really know how to make you feel like you do not know sh**t so having a community around a technology that you use to build your solution is the only support you can find for a developer in Tanzania.

So as i was choosing was blockchain technology to choose to invest my time in and build solutions for Tanzanians i was faced with a difficult choice of choosing technologies that have no communities operating in Tanzanian fast forward to 2025 people like KARIM NYUMBA have really helped young developers in Tanzania from different Universities and background by exposing them and building blockchain communities in Tanzania.

From Blockchain networks like STELLAR and BASE have started to build young communities of developers who are building really cool projects for the Tanzanians and as a Tanzanian i am thrilled for these opportunities that have opened doors for young builders like me that make choices to BUILD ON CHAIN.

I attended both Developers meeting for the BASE and STELLAR blockchain that happened in Dar es Salaam and have gained alot from these events and to answer that question Tanzanian blockchain communities are arrive are Tanzanian developers are building on chain. 

So choosing technologies  rust and solidity are the main two technologies that will shape the future of blockchain in Tanzania. If you are a young developer and have being dreaming to move to WEB3 you can do so buy joining these two communities which are here in Tanzania.
